The Modular Programme in Science & Technology Studies is a part-time programme which focuses on the knowledge and skill requirements of high-tech industries.
The modular structure is designed with flexibility in mind, enabling you to balance study with work and other commitments and to accumulate credits over a time frame that suits your lifestyle. Learning is delivered via a blend of distance and online resources, on-campus tutorials and labs, and company-based projects. Tutorials take place in NUI Galway and subject to sufficient demand some may also be delivered in the University of Limerick.
The programme offers awards at a level to suit you:
- B.Sc. in Science & Technology Studies
- Diploma in Science & Technology Studies
- Specialist Diplomas: Lean & Quality Systems, Medical Device Science, Form & Function of the Human Body, Environmental Sustainability
- Continuing Professional Development credit for modules taken on a standalone basis for the purposes of up-skilling or career change

Applications: Applications for courses starting in August and September 2012 can now be made online at www.bluebrick.ie. The closing date is Friday, 29 June 2012.
Springboard: Springboard funding for unemployed students completing the Specialist Diplomas in 2012/2013 will be sought from the HEA. An update will be posted here when available, provisionally mid-May.
Skillnet: ULearning Skillnet may offer fee subventions on these courses to employees of member companies. Please consult www.ulearning.ie
