The Modular Programme in Science & Technology Studies is a part-time programme which focuses on the knowledge and skill requirements of high-tech industries.

The modular structure is designed with flexibility in mind, enabling you to balance study with work and other commitments and to accumulate credits over a time frame that suits your lifestyle. Learning is delivered jointly by NUIG and UL via a blend of distance and online resources, on-campus tutorials and labs, and company-based projects.

The programme offers awards at a level to suit you:

  • B.Sc. in Science & Technology Studies
  • Diploma in Science & Technology Studies
  • Specialist Diplomas: Environmental Sustainability, Medical Device Science, Form & Function of the Human Body
  • Continuing Professional Development credit for modules taken on a standalone basis for the purposes of up-skilling or career change

Programme News

July 2010: A limited number of places for late applicants are available. Late applications must be received by Monday 9 August 2010. Further details here.

June 2010: ULearning Skillnet is offering a fee subvention of 25% to member companies and a limited number of scholarships to unemployed students. Please consult www.ulearning.ie.

March 2010: A new one year part-time Specialist Diploma in Form & Function of the Human Body will start in NUIG in September 2010. Further details here.
